Mi Logo

Sometimes, you just have to free yourself from the never-ending workload and have fun a little. Everyday, I have to come up with at least 6 different logos; all about sales, businesses, marketing and the likes. And browsing through my works, a lot of them looks exactly the same! (They just differ in color, size and font.) So, as what every designer should do when faced with such dilemma… I took a step back and just create something fun for myself. My own logo. I couldn’t believe I haven’t got one yet! So, here it is.

The wanderer continues…

This is the first time (in 4 years) me and my friends failed to book for a summer trip getaway. Different excuses and reasons arose. And we have nothing left to do but whine and regret not buying a ticket.

I thought my wandering days are over…

But thanks to promo deals websites, I was able to grab a 3-day Boracay trip for 2. Matt and I have been waiting long enough to grab a deal such as this. So, we booked our trip on August. Just in time for our 4th Anniversary. (I hope and pray our booked dates will be sunny though.)

And just last week, my brother booked us (my whole family) a trip to Singapore! Yay! It’s going to be my first time to travel outside the Philippines. I am really excited. 🙂

And since we’ll be flying to Singapore, my brother (who used to work in Malaysia) said we can take a 5-hour bus trip to Kuala Lumpur. His second home. 😉

I’m really stoked. All I could think about is this, but I would have to wait for a few more months. And so, the wanderer continues…

Happy New Year!

Why I hate Rob

You know how I love chill-out songs, and therefore, love hearing ambienty and almost ethereal voices… That’s why I hate Rob Thomas’ singing voice. Everytime I hear him straining his own vocal chords, it stings in my ear. The stinging sound I also hear from Britney Spears.

That’s right. Rob Thomas is the male counterpart of Britney Spears. It all makes sense now.

Headlines Today: More Killings

  • Man killed in front of wife, son in Pampanga
  • Jail guard killed in Antique hostage-taking
  • 2 killed in Misamis Oriental rebel attack
  • Restaurant owner killed in Cavite
  • Security guard killed by fellow guard in CDO
  • Lawyer killed in Dumaguete

On the ABS-CBN news.com today, links to these are what I found. Makes me wonder, are we truly that unsafe nowadays? Isn’t there any “positive” news our media could provide? Isn’t there any other breaking news reports available besides unsolved crimes, murderers, senate hearings, KC- Piolo break-up, and terrorist bombings?

Too much negativity results to cynical views and probably a loser-dom nation.

Last Few Years of My 20’s-hood

You know you’re getting old when you prefer music you grew up listening to instead of the music currently playing on the radio. You know you’ve matured when you almost always find yourself enjoying the company of people who have substance more than just people to laugh with and share gossip with. You know you’re leaving your 20’s-hood behind when all of your friends and classmates are either getting married or are starting to raise their own family. You know that when your bills start to bloat dramatically, it’s the start of a responsibility and a future much bigger.

And where could have all the years gone by?

Besides having signs of wrinkles and dry skin, metabolism slowing down and blood sugar problems; I’ve also stored a number of memories and experiences to cherish, mistakes and wrong decisions to learn from, more pictures and videos of me, my family and friends collected, gained much more confidence and aggressiveness, made new friends, etc.

I pretty much have had an adventurous ride of life which makes me wanting and hoping for more… Cheers to my 28 years, 8 months, and 18 days of existence, cheers to my last few years (or months rather) of 20’s-hood!

A “Silent Hill” Morning

This morning was an uncanny one.  As I opened our front door, a thick fog lay before my eyes. Being the pessimist and cautious person that I am, I panicked and walked outside the street. Our neighbors don’t seem to worry, not minding the low-cloud which hides the trees and the alleys. I can hear one of them say, “it’s just a fog”.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Tagaytay and Baguio.  And so, I find it strange and somewhat impossible to have a thick foggy morning in Metro Manila. The “silent hill” ambiance is a bit scary yet makes me want to go right back at my bed and dream this day away.

Non-stop rain and storm clouded us for the past weeks, and today was the first time we ever get to see the sun rise again. Hence, Mr. Fog visited, reminding us all that the sun will soon shine again.
